SCOUT & GUIDE MONSOON HIKE – 2026
An Adventurous Journey of Courage, Teamwork and Exploration
The Scout & Guide Monsoon Hike 2026 was organised with great enthusiasm and participation at Bal Udyan Seminary Hills, Nagpur, bringing together approximately 1,300 enthusiastic students for a memorable day filled with adventure, learning, teamwork and patriotic spirit. The event was designed to provide students with an opportunity to experience nature closely, develop courage and confidence, strengthen team spirit, and learn important values of discipline, cooperation and leadership.
The programme commenced at 9:00 a.m. with the arrival and assembly of students at the venue. The atmosphere was filled with excitement as the young Scouts and Guides gathered together in high spirits, ready to embark on an adventurous monsoon hike. The presence of Talhar Sir, the esteemed guest for the occasion, added special significance to the event.
The programme began with flag hoisting, which created a sense of pride, discipline and unity among the students. This was followed by an energetic action song, in which students participated with great enthusiasm. The activity helped create a lively atmosphere and encouraged students to actively engage with one another before beginning the main adventure.
Following the inaugural activities, the students set out for the much-awaited monsoon hike through the scenic surroundings of Seminary Hills. The pleasant monsoon weather and lush greenery provided a perfect natural setting for the hike. As the students moved along the hiking route, they experienced the beauty of nature while developing important qualities such as endurance, confidence, discipline, teamwork and mutual support.
The hike also provided an excellent opportunity for students to step outside the classroom and learn through direct experience. They were encouraged to maintain discipline, follow instructions, stay together in groups and support their fellow participants throughout the journey. The activity helped students understand the importance of perseverance and staying calm and responsible while facing challenges.
The students were accompanied and guided by the dedicated teachers and staff. Sports HOD Mr. Sadashiv Boldhan, Mr. Kunal Evanate and Mrs. Supriya Hirekar remained actively involved throughout the programme. They accompanied the students during the hike, encouraged them at every stage, assisted them whenever required and ensured that the students remained motivated, disciplined and safe throughout the activity. Their continuous guidance and support contributed significantly to the smooth and successful conduct of the event.
After completing the hiking activity, the students enjoyed their lunch and took some time to relax and rejuvenate. The atmosphere remained cheerful as students shared their experiences and enjoyed the memorable moments of the day with their friends and teachers.
The programme then continued with a variety of adventure activities, giving students an opportunity to test their courage, coordination, confidence and problem-solving abilities. These activities encouraged students to overcome hesitation, face challenges positively and work together as a team. The experience helped reinforce the core values of the Scout and Guide movement—discipline, service, courage, cooperation, self-reliance and leadership.


The day concluded on a highly energetic and patriotic note with cultural activities. Students of the school presented a patriotic song with great enthusiasm and pride. Their confident performance filled the atmosphere with patriotic spirit and brought the programme to a memorable conclusion.
The successful organisation of the Scout & Guide Monsoon Hike was greatly appreciated by the school leadership. The Directors, Hon. Mr. Vijay Menon and Dr. Hema Menon, respected Principal Mrs. Beena Menon, and esteemed Quality Coordinator Mrs. Jayshri Sastri appreciated the students for their enthusiastic participation, discipline and outstanding spirit throughout the programme. They also acknowledged the sincere efforts of the teachers and staff who worked together to make the event meaningful and successful.
The Scout & Guide Monsoon Hike 2026 was not merely an outdoor excursion; it was an enriching learning experience that allowed students to discover their inner strength while developing important life skills. The combination of hiking, adventure activities, teamwork, cultural expression and interaction with nature made the event both educational and enjoyable.




With approximately 1,300 students participating with tremendous enthusiasm, the event successfully reflected the school’s commitment to providing students with opportunities for holistic development beyond the classroom. The day ended with students carrying back unforgettable memories, renewed confidence and valuable lessons in courage, teamwork, discipline and leadership. Overall, the Scout & Guide Monsoon Hike 2026 was a grand success and a memorable experience for all the students and staff, leaving everyone with a strong sense of achievement, togetherness and pride.
