Career Guidance and Counselling Workshop

A Career Guidance Workshop organized at Essence international School with the objective of helping students understand the importance of making informed career choices after Class 10th.The workshop aimed to guide students in identifying their interests, strengths, and career goals through expert counselling and motivational session.
The session was conducted by Prof. Puneshkumar Uttamlal Tembhare, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, and Dr. Girish Devlal Mehta, Co-Dean (R&D) and Associate Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering,Priyadarshini College of Engineering, Nagpur.
The experts delivered insightful talks on:
- Why career planning matters: Students were encouraged to make thoughtful career choices in science, commerce &Arts/humanity aligned with their interests and capabilities.
- Discovering strengths and interests: The session emphasized self-assessment, understanding one ’ s aptitudes, talents, and preferred work
- Key factors in choosing a career: Students were introduced to factors like job market trends, personal goals, and expert opinions while selecting their career paths.
- Emerging career opportunities: Information about evolving fields in engineering, technology, and research was shared to motivate students toward higher studies and innovation.
The workshop received an enthusiastic response. Students actively participated and appreciated the valuable insights shared by the speakers. It helped them understand that career planning is not a one-time decision but a continuous process of self-exploration and goal refinement.
The Career Guidance Workshop proved to be a highly
beneficial and enlightening experience. It successfully equipped students with the necessary tools and mindset to plan their careers strategically.
