Career Guidance Workshop on Science

A Career Guidance Workshop on Science was organized at Essence International School on 8th November 2025 for the students of Classes 9 and 10. The session aimed to guide students about the wide range of career opportunities available in the field of science.
The guest speaker, Dr. Deovrat Begde (Ph.D.), conducted the session. He delivered an enlightening talk highlighting various career paths and future possibilities in science.
Dr. Begde explained several key areas during the workshop, including the diverse career paths available in the science stream, opportunities in engineering and technology, and the foundation of medical science covering careers in medicine, pharmacy, and allied health sciences. He also highlighted the importance of research and innovation in pure sciences such as physics, chemistry, biology, and mathematics. Furthermore, he emphasized the power of interdisciplinary innovation, showing how combining science with other fields can lead to creative and impactful careers.
Dr. Begde also discussed interdisciplinary fields focused on life sciences, such as biotechnology, bioinformatics, and environmental science, and provided valuable information about science-related vocational courses that offer skill-based and early career opportunities.
Dr. Begde motivated students to think beyond traditional paths and embrace innovation and curiosity as essential qualities of future scientists.
The workshop proved to be an enriching experience, helping students gain clarity and confidence about their future careers in science.
