INTACH Heritage Club (Clay Ganesha Making)

The INTACH Heritage Club of Essence International School organized a soulful and creative Workshop on Lord Ganesha Clay Idol Making, celebrating culture, tradition, and eco-consciousness.

The program commenced with a serene Lord Ganesha Vandana by students and music teacher Mrs. Hemlata Bhende, invoking blessings of wisdom and prosperity, followed by the lighting of the lamp by esteemed dignitaries, symbolizing the dispelling of darkness and the ushering in of knowledge. A brief puja of Lord Ganesha further sanctified the occasion, filling the atmosphere with devotion and joy.

The highlight of the workshop was the hands-on idol-making session, where students enthusiastically moulded eco-friendly clay idols under the expert guidance of Art and Craft teachers, Mr. Kapil Khobragade and Mrs. Ashwini Bhatarkar. With patience and creativity, the children shaped their own Ganeshas, discovering the beauty of craftsmanship and the value of tradition.

The event was meticulously coordinated by the INTACH Heritage Convener, Mrs. Vandana Shaw, along with in-charge teachers Mrs. Anamika Sahu, Mrs. Ashwini Raut, and Mrs. Pallavi Giri. Even the Pre-Primary kids joined in, exploring the workshop with curiosity and wonder, adding innocence and delight to the event.

The workshop beautifully blended devotion with creativity, leaving the children inspired, connected to heritage, and proud of their cultural roots.

The initiative was well appreciated by the Principal, Mrs. Beena Menon, and the Quality Coordinator, Mrs. Jayshri Sastri, for its cultural depth and creative execution.
