Essence International School celebrated National Mathematics Day on 22 December 2025 with great enthusiasm to honor the birth anniversary of the legendary mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan. The celebration aimed to make mathematics joyful, interactive, and meaningful for students. All activities were thoughtfully planned and conducted by the teachers.

The highlights of the day included a Rhythmic Mathematics Activity, where students joyfully participated in activities that blended mathematical concepts with physical movements, sounds, beats, and music, helping them learn patterns and numbers in an engaging manner. Addition and multiplication activities were conducted in a fun-based format to strengthen students’ basic arithmetic skills, improve accuracy, and boost their confidence in calculations. Students also explored the fascinating Ramanujan Magic Square, which enhanced their

understanding of number patterns and logical thinking through hands-on participation under teacher guidance. A creative skit on the famous Taxicab Number 1729 was performed, explaining its uniqueness and showcasing Srinivasa

Ramanujan’s extraordinary mathematical insight in a simple and interesting way. The celebration concluded with an inspiring skit on the life and achievements of Srinivasa

Ramanujan, which motivated students to develop curiosity, determination, and a love for mathematics

In addition to the performances and hands-on activities, a display board activity on the timeline of Srinivasa

Ramanujan Sir’s life was prepared by the students under the guidance of teachers. The display showcased important milestones of his life, major achievements, and

contributions to mathematics in a chronological manner. This activity helped students gain a deeper understanding of Ramanujan’s journey and inspired them to appreciate his

dedication and brilliance.

The National Mathematics Day event beautifully showcased that mathematics can be learned through rhythm, creativity,

and real-life stories. The dedication of the teachers and the active participation of students made the celebration memorable.
