Young Innovators Shine at Essence International School’s 8th Science Working Model Competition
Essence International School, a unit of Manghat Mani Educational Institute, successfully hosted the 8th Inter- School Science Working Model Competition on Friday, 19th September 2025, at its campus. Launched in 2016, the annual event has evolved into a prestigious platform for young minds to exhibit their scientific creativity and innovation.
The event was honoured by the distinguished presence of a panel of eminent judges from Priyadarshini College of Engineering, Nagpur, whose expertise brought academic depth and insight to the competition. The esteemed judges included:
- Dinesh Mehta, Co-Dean (R&D) & Associate Professor
- Puneshkumar Uttamla Tembhare, Assistant Professor
- Vivek Bhange, Associate Professor & Head, Department of Chemical Engineering
- Ranjit Bobate, Associate Dean (NSS) & Assistant Professor, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering.


Delivering the keynote, Dr. Dinesh Mehta inspired students to remain positive, think uniquely, pursue knowledge passionately, and most importantly, grow into responsible and compassionate individuals.
The presence of the school’s leadership team—Directors Mr. Vijay Menon and Dr. Hema Menon, Principal Mrs. Beena Menon, and Quality Coordinator Mrs. Jayshri Sastri added inspiration and direction to the event, motivating students to pursue scientific inquiry with passion and purpose.


Total 16 schools participated in the competition, showcasing an impressive range of innovative working models based on real-world problems and scientific concepts. The event witnessed vibrant student engagement, teamwork, and practical application of classroom learning.




The prize distribution ceremony was marked by an inspiring address by Director Mr. Vijay Menon, who applauded the dedication of all participants. He emphasized that science not only adds meaning to life but also empowers individuals to drive meaningful change, and that curiosity and consistent effort are the true foundations of progress.

Junior Category (Grades 6 & 7)
- 1st Prize: Carmel Academy, Waddhamna
- 2nd Prize: Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir, Shrikrishna Nagar
- 3rd Prize: Narayana Vidyalayam, Chinchbhuvan
- Consolation Prize: Essence International School, Nagalwadi
Senior Category (Grades 8 and above)
- 1st Prize: Modern School, Koradi Road
- 2nd Prize: NEERI Modern School
- 3rd Prize: SOS, Atrey Layout
- Consolation Prize: Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir, Trimurti Nagar
Overall Championship Trophy:-
- Champion: Narayana Vidyalayam, Chinchbhuvan
- Runner-Up: Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir, Shrikrishna Nagar



The event concluded with the announcement of results and a formal vote of thanks. The competition not only served as a dynamic platform for scientific exploration but also reinforced the values of critical thinking, innovation, and collaborative learning among students.
