Scout and Guide Adventure Camp – Day 1

Essence International School organized a two-day, one-night Scout and Guide Adventure Camp at Mosaic Adventure, Zilpi, to provide students with experiential learning beyond the classroom. The camp was conducted in the presence of Pre-ALT Scout Mr. Pratik Kanake, Scout Master Mr. Sadashiv Boldhan, Guide Captain Mrs. Supriya Hirekar, Vice Principal Mrs. Shashi Prabha, and assistant teachers Mrs. Amisha Thakkar, Mrs. Rekha Singh, Ms. Sruthi Nair, Ms. Bhavna Bondre, Mr. Kunal Evanate, and Mr. Nishikant Sahare.

Students reported to school at 8:00 a.m. and reached the campsite by 10:00 a.m. The camp commenced with an opening ceremony at 10:15 a.m., where Camp Director Mr. Satish Pawar welcomed the students and teachers. After breakfast, cottages were allotted, followed by flag hoisting and an action song that filled the atmosphere with enthusiasm.

Students actively participated in tent pitching and cooking activities, which helped them develop teamwork and self-management skills. Post lunch, Director Dr. Hema Menon, Quality Coordinator Mrs. Jayshree Sastri, and School Manager Mr. Hitesh Wagh visited the camp, inspected the tents, and judged the cooking activity.

Later, students attended an informative first-aid session, followed by hi-tea and games. In the evening, preparations were made for the campfire. Principal Mrs. Beena Menon also visited and encouraged the students. The day concluded with a vibrant campfire and cultural programme, followed by dinner and lights off.
